Student self-government is a form of student self-organization, independent public activity, a mechanism for representing and defending one's rights and, most importantly, an opportunity for a student to realize himself as an open, purposeful and educated individual.
The main tasks of student self-government bodies:
To defend and protect the interests and rights of students;
● To represent and express the position of students;
● To assist students in solving problems related to their studies, stay at the university or dormitory;
● To inform the student body about upcoming events;
● To contribute to the creation of appropriate conditions for students' studies, accommodation and recreation;
● To organize scientific activities and extracurricular life of students: leisure, sports events, recreation, etc.
Student self-government has the following powers:
● To resolve issues that fall within the competence of Student Self-government;
● to submit for discussion and (or) voting decisions made by student councils of faculties (institutes);
● to use the educational, scientific, industrial, cultural, sports, household and health facilities of the university;
● to be represented in the governing bodies of the International Humanitarian University;
● to independently and independently decide on issues related to its activities.
The student self-government also has the following responsibilities:
● to direct its activities in the interests of students;
● to protect the rights and interests of all students of the university without exception;
● to strictly comply with the legislation of Ukraine and the Regulations on Student Self-Government of the International Humanitarian University;
● to inform university students about upcoming events;
● to report to the student body on its activities.
