Modern Forensic Hub of the Faculty of Law and Economics

On the initiative and support of the President of the International Humanitarian University, Academician Serhiy Kivalov, a modern Forensic Hub was opened at the Faculty of Law and Economics, designed to conduct practical classes with students of higher education at the bachelor's and master's levels in the specialties «Law enforcement activities» and «Law» on such mandatory educational components as «Forensics», «Criminal Law», «Criminal Procedure», «Criminology», «Operational and investigative activities», «Tactical and special and fire training». This exciting event reflects a progressive approach to forensics training and research.
The forensic hub is equipped with modern multimedia equipment and software, which allows comprehensive training on the topic of conducting urgent investigative (search) actions using the 3-D effect of the presence of events in the city. A wide range of modern forensic technology helps students acquire practical skills in identifying, recording and extracting the main and most procedurally significant types of physical evidence. Thanks to the use of the software product «Investigator's workplace», applicants hone their skills in compiling criminal procedural documentation, working with current information and search systems of law enforcement agencies, mastering the methodology of criminal analysis, profiling and compilation of photos of suspects, etc.
Of particular interest to students is a wide collection of short- and long-barreled firearms and cold weapons, special equipment used in the educational process of weapons science, court ballistics, explosives, tactical-special and fire training of law enforcement officers.
Practical employees of the National Police, the Prosecutor's Office, expert forensic and forensic medical institutions, who highly appreciated the possibilities and prospects of use in the initial process for law enforcement training, are widely involved in conducting classes on the basis of the forensic hub
